University of New Mexico women's golfer Manon de Roey won the
Concentra Securitas Omnium tournament in July at the Limburg Golf and Country Club (par 72, 5,819 yards) in Belgium.
In a field of Belgian professional and amateur players, de
Roey claimed the top spot in a tournament that is considered to be
the most prestigious in Belgium. De Roey is from Schilde, Belgium.
De Roey, who will be a sophomore at UNM in the fall, shot a course record and personal best 66 (33-33) in the second round on her way to a 72-hole total of 3-under 285 (74-66-74-71). She won the tournament by six strokes, beating current professionals Victoria Tomko and Benedicte Toumpsin in the process.
