Five Big-name Resorts File Chapter 11

(CYBERSPACE) Feb. 2, 2011 — The bad economic news in the golf industry continues. Five big-name golf resorts have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

They are: The Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa on Maui, the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, The La Quinta (Calif.) Resort & Club PGA West, the Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley,, Calif., and the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix. More.
